Fall Activities for Kindergarten & Elementary Classrooms

A little inspiration for your next lesson

An autumn theme can connect observation, vocabulary and creative work. Start with a real leaf or an apple, invite students to describe what they notice, then choose a short activity that fits your lesson.

• Build vocabulary before writing: describe a leaf’s color, shape and texture.
• Use short craft sessions to practice following directions and fine motor skills.
• Combine science observation with drawing or a simple sentence.
